Pupil of Schenker’s between January and April 1916.

Nothing is known of Perutz’s life. On December 4, 1923 Hans Weisse told Schenker that he had let go Perutz “for complete lack of engagement”; in his diary of that date, Schenker reacted with the comment that Perutz “also took several lessons from me,” the implication being that Perutz had been taking lessons from Weisse at the time.

Schenker encountered a Frau Perutz for the first time at the apartment of Sofie Deutsch in the company of Fritz and Heinrich Mendl on March 7, 1914, and gained an adverse impression of her; whether or not she was related to Herr Perutz the pupil is unknown.
