Prime Minister of Italy 1917-19. Together with Woodrow Wilson, Georges Clemenceau and David Lloyd George, Orlando belonged to the Council of Four, the most senior council of the Paris Peace Conference of 1919. The four heads of state were to have a decisive influence on the final drafts of the Paris Peace Treaty (= Treaty of Versailles).
