Footnotes

1 Schenker's diary at OJ 4/5, p. 3729, May 12, 1932 records a street encounter: "begegnen an der Kärntnerstraße v. Hoboken, will morgen „ohne Arbeit“ kommen!" ("we encounter Hoboken in the Kärntnerstraße; he will come tomorrow 'without work'!"). Receipt of this postcard is then recorded at OJ 4/5, p. 3729, May 13, 1932: "Von v. Hoboken (K.): kommt Freitag." ("From Hoboken (postcard): he is coming on Friday."). However, May 13 was itself a Friday, so there appears to be some confusion here.

2 The visit itself is not recorded in Schenker's diary (nor for the following Friday).
