Footnotes1 Kaff has been studying two Liszt piano pieces since January 31, one of which is the "Canzonetta del Salvator Rosa," from Années de pèlerinage Book II (Italy), the other unspecified. But which of the nine pieces comprising his Soirées de Vienne (arrangements of waltzes by Schubert) she now embarks on we are not told. In Spring 1913 she worked on Nos 1 (Aę major), 4 (Dę major), 6 (A minor), and 8 (D major), and in 1913/14 she continued working on No. 8, which involved octave technique. |
