herzl. Gruß

Dear friend,

I have read what you sent me and find your written work 1 thoroughly interesting – at any rate your very points of view, in diametrical opposition to M’s 2 principles of composition and arrangement. That would not hinder me from obtaining a letter of recommendation from him – at worst, he will turn you down (something which, however, I do not believe). How then does Guido Adler stand with you? He would surely give you a letter of reference! Once again, best thanks for your truly outstanding work, and

cordial greetings
