Career Summary
Elisabeth Rudorff devoted much of her life to campaigning for the protection of "nature and landscape" in Germany. Correspondence with Schenker
Elisabeth Rudorff wrote two personal letters to Schenker: OJ 13/36, [1], January 11, 1909, to which no reply from Schenker is known to survive; however, Schenker requested Universal Edition to forward to her his editions of keyboard works by C. P. E. Bach and organ concertos by Handel, to which UE's reply and confirmation is OC 52/34, January 14, 1909; and OJ 13-37, 6, January 15, 1909, thanking Schenker for the arrival of the two editions. She was also one of the signatories, together with her mother, Gertrud, and younger sister, Melusine, to the printed announcement of her father's death (OJ 13/36, [2], December 31, 1916).
