Biographical summary
Angela Türtscher was one of the four children of Franz Anton and Emerenzia Türtscher, who owned the small hotels Rössle and Alpenhaus Fluchthorn in Galtür.
Angela Türtscher and the Schenkers
Heinrich and Jeanette Schenker, who lodged with the Türtscher family at the Alpenhaus Fluchthorn during their summer vacations in Galtür in 1921‒24, established a friendship with her. The three kept in contact outside the summer period, during Heinrich's teaching season. His diaries give evidence of correspondence with her, none of which is known to survive.
