Weingarten taught piano at the Akademie (Hochschule) für Musik und darstellende Kunst (= Vienna Conservatory) 1922 to 1938 and after World War II, 1945 to 1948. His pupils included Moura Lympany, Hans Redlich, Peter Stadlen, and Friedrich Wildgans.
