Austrian accompanist, pianist, and teacher. He lived at Vienna VI, Mittelgasse 37.

Hofmann studied piano at the Vienna Conservatory, and later taught there in the piano Vorbildungsschule from 1901 to his death. He also composed songs, piano pieces, and pieces for children.

He is not to be confused with the internationally celebrated concert pianist Josef Casimir Hofmann.

No correspondence is known to survive between Hofmann and Schenker.
