American editor and musicologist, associate editor of The Musical Quarterly 1945-67; he was involved editorially with New York publishers G. Schirmer and W. W. Norton, and taught at Columbia University (1946-62).
There is no correspondence between Schenker and Broder; he wrote an article jointly with Arthur Waldeck on Schenker's theory.
