Endlich von Rinn (Br.): der Aufsatz werde im Juli erscheinen; er freue sich auf die Erinnerungen an Brahms. — An Berrsche (K.): ersuche ihn um die Pfingstnummer seines Blattes u. erwähne Bruno Walter in der N. Fr. Presse vom 24. V. 1 — Nach der Jause Postweg: an Saphir, die Unfallversicherung u. für Steuer Geld erlegt. —

Finally, from Rinn (letter): the "essay" will appear in July; he is looking forward to my "recollections of Brahms". — To Berrsche (postcard): I request from him the Pentecost issue of his newspaper and mention Bruno Walter in the Neue freie Presse of May 24. 1 — After teatime, a trip to the post office: money paid in to Saphir, for accident insurance, and for tax.

This was part of a series of short pieces under the rubric "Die Zukunft der Musik," which also included statements from Clemens Krauss and Felix Weingartner. Walter’s essay specifically mentions Schenker as the quintessential exponent of the concept of tonality.
