Footnotes1 In the third district of Vienna (Landstrasse), the Rechte and Linke Bahngasse run either side of the train line that then connected the North and South Railway Stations and now connects Praterstern and Vienna Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). 2 The Arbeiter-Symphoniekonzerte were initiated in 1904 by the cultural commentator and important functionary of the worker's music movement, David Joseph Bach; they have been held regularly ever since, their primary objective being to present the standard orchestral repertory. |
