Footnotes1 The Pannicke Case was a literary competition. The play portrayed moving scenes in a court of law and concluded at the very moment that the jury retired. The listener now had the opportunity of writing his or her own ending. From a field of 1,100 entries, a winner was chosen; on February 24, 1929, the play was broadcast for a second time, now with the winning ending. |
