1 The railroad from Vienna's Westbahnhof to Sankt Pölten runs through Hütteldorf, Hadersdorf, then (in the Vienna Woods) Purkersdorf (10 miles = 15km), Pressbaum (13 miles = 20km), Rekarwinkel (16 miles = 25km) and then on to Eichgraben (19 miles = 30km), the last four with walks to north and south of the stops. Schenker must have alighted at Purkersdorf and walked southwards to Baunzen.
