1 Schenker's diary records the visit of Heinrich and Jeanette Schenker to Waidhofen an der Thaya on September 13, 1923 at OJ 3/4, pp. 2566‒2568. The writing of this picture postcard and other missives is recorded at OJ 3/4,p. 2567: "An Wilhelm, Sophie, u. Mozio Grüße – auch wir bewahren eine Ansichtskarte zur Erinnerung an den ersten Besuch." ("Greetings to Wilhelm, Sophie, and Mozio – we also keep a picture postcard in remembrance of our first visit."). The present item is presumably the last mentioned.
