1 In the postmark, the month is obscured by a postage stamp. However, the stamp beside the postage stamps on the recto proclaiming Mother’s Day establishes the month of the card as May, since Mother’s Day in Germany from 1934 on was set as the third Sunday in May, which in 1935 was May 19.
