Kenntnis zu bringen, dass ich Ihre Wünsche betr. die Form der Verleihung des Sophie Deutsch Musikerstipendiums dem Bundesministerium für Unterricht als der zur Entscheidung zuständigen Stelle übermittelt habe und Sie nach erflossener Entscheidung hievon in Kenntnis setzen werde.

I have the honor of informing you pro tem, in response to your esteemed communication of December 3 of the current year, that I have with pleasure forwarded your wishes in regard to the form of awarding of the Sophie Deutsch Musician's Stipendium to the Federal Ministry of Education as the decision-making authority and once the decision has been reached I shall notify you of it.

1 Receipt of this letter is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 3/7, p. 2764, December 16, 1924: "Von der Akademie (Br.): die Entscheidung hänge vom Ministerium ab, sie wird mir bekanntgegeben werden." ("From the Academy (letter): the decision depends on the Ministry and will be conveyed to me."). The text of this letter appears also as the second item in an internal memorandum of the Akademie für Musik und darstellende Kunst: UMdK Z 641 D/1924, [2].
